Have I mentioned that I love my Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens? Aside from the glass being stellar, it’s such a versatile piece of equipment, even though you may not think so immediately. Obviously you can do 1:1 macro and stunning portraits. But it also provides unique compositional opportunities with intimate landscapes. I’m even going to attempt some astro with it! ....... 📅 May 23, 2018 📷 Canon 6D Mark II 👁 Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro 📝 1/250s, f/2.8, ISO 400 📍 Jacobsburg Environmental Area, Nazareth, PA ....... our car broke down on the road from the Yosemite Valley to Wawona. we'd planned to see the ancient bristlecone pines, trees older than Jesus, but didn't trust the car to get us there. instead we spent 90 minutes in the Wawona Library parking lot the next morning, picking out Sandy Flat as our refuge. we never knew if we were in the desert or the mountains (maybe the foothills) but we fell in love with these three dear trees: the intertwined willow and sycamore we breakfasted and swam and sunbathed under along the Kern Riverbank, and the blue oak we slept beneath. our sweet oasis.
